7 Best Reasons to Shop at Dollar Tree to Save Money

Hi guys, do you ever shop at Dollar Tree? Well, today I’m going to share 10 best reasons why you should shop at Dollar Tree, if you don’t already, to save tons of money! Over the years, Dollar Tree has become my favorite store to buy these items below that I wouldn’t think to purchase elsewhere.

Before I discovered Dollar Tree, I used to shop at regular retail stores and pay twice or three times more for these items! But everything at Dollar Tree is just $1! and sometimes 2 for $1 depending on what you are buying such as greeting cards! (even a better deal!).

So without further delay, here are 7 best reasons to shop at Dollar Tree to save money –

1. greeting cards

Hallmark greeting cards are my favorite because they contain the best expressions in terms of having such awesome messages for every occasion. Did you know that Dollar Tree now carries greeting cards by Expressions from Hallmark and Heartline a Hallmark company? Check them out here.

Take a look at some of the awesome Hallmark greeting cards I have from Dollar Tree –

There are two different types of Hallmark cards that Dollar Tree is now carrying in their stores starting August 30, 2018!  First one is the Expressions from Hallmark, $1 each and second one is Heartline (also a Hallmark company), 2 for $1. See pics above. The larger cards are Expressions from Hallmark and the smaller ones are Heartline.

Both of these are the number #1 greeting cards that most people buy because of Hallmark’s superb quality and great messages within the cards. I choose to buy these cards at Dollar Tree than any other retailer because of the price!

The main difference I noticed between the two type of greeting cards is just the size of the card. The Expressions from Hallmark are usually larger than the Heartline but other than that, they both are the same in terms of the quality.  I would pick either. Both are my favorite! 

Dollar Tree has a wide selection of these greeting cards along with others for 2 for $1 and some more for just a $1! You should not spend $3-$5 on a greeting card that gets tossed after the occasion is over. Instead save your money and spend it on other things such as buying a nice gift for your loved one! A gift will at least last longer and hold more value than a greeting card.

2. Gift Bags

Now you know why I love the greeting cards at Dollar Tree and how they are the perfect price! Just like the greeting cards, I don’t shop for gift bags at other stores anymore because it’s a complete waste of money!

You only need the gift bag one time and then it gets thrown away. Plus Dollar Tree has a huge selection of gift bags for every occasion varying in sizes so you always have plenty of options to pick from.

During the holiday season, I often need gift bags for wine and other gifts and the expenses add up depending on how many people I have to shop for. I rather spend the money on buying a nice gift for everyone and save on the gift bags and greeting cards.

3. Party supplies – paper plates, napkins, cups, foil pans, etc

The third reason you should shop at Dollar Tree is to buy all your party supplies and save tons of money!

Whenever we have a party at home or if we are just outside doing BBQ, we use party supplies such as paper plates, napkins, forks, cups, foil pans, etc. Dollar Tree has a nice collection of all this stuff for just a $1, and they even have birthday plates so if you are celebrating a special occasion, buy these to add a personal touch!

Foil pans are great for carrying food especially when you are going to someone else’s house with food. You don’t have to worry about anyone breaking your fine plates or glasses. They even have nice brand name wine glasses. Check them out here.

Getting all my party supplies for only a $1 each is a great bargain! Other retail stores charge at least 4 times more for the same party supplies.

4. Storage bins

Dollar Tree has a great collection of organizational/storage bins and baskets varying in sizes and colors to pick from for only a $1! I use these in my home office, bathroom, laundry and kitchen. These are awesome for organizing all your things in one place.

For example, I have a bin for all my pens because I like to collect different kinds of pens, then a bin for all my cleaning supplies and same thing, a bin in the kitchen cabinet for storing other household items. Get more ideas here.

5. Office and Craft Supplies

Get all the office and craft supplies you need for just a $1 – Dollar Tree has many options such as envelopes, pens, pencils, tape, stapler, 3 ring binders, calculators, etc.

6. Cleaning supplies

Cleaning supplies can be expensive depending on what you are buying. But with Dollar Tree, you can get all your cleaning supplies at the lowest price ever! They have lots of all purpose cleaners which I love, kitchen cleaners, bathroom cleaners, air freshners, etc.

7. Candy!

Last reason is to buy candy! I always go to the Dollar Tree when it’s time for Halloween or before 🙂 and I need to buy candy. Get your favorite candy for just a $1. Can’t beat that price!
